Academic Mobility

Decision of the commission for selecting candidates for academic mobility grants

Rules and Regulations

Bachelor's and master's students (only in the scientific-pedagogical track), as well as doctoral students after completing the first academic period, may apply to participate in academic mobility programs.

There are 2 types of academic mobility:

  • Internal (within Kazakhstan)
  • External (abroad)

Прежде чем подать заявку на программу, пожалуйста, ознакомьтесь с доступными программами и списком университетов-партнёров.

The duration of the study period is at least 1 month and no more than 12 months.

Before or during the study period abroad, students are not allowed to suspend or terminate their studies at Esil University.

Mobility expenses may be covered by:

  • Erasmus+ program funds;
  • Funds of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Students' own funds

Students who wish to participate in such programs must not have any debts (financial or academic).

The grade point average must be at least 3.0

To apply for the program, you need to gather the originals of the following documents:

  • Application addressed to the rector
  • 2 photographs, 3x4
  • Transcript
  • Copy of passport/ID card
  • Letters of recommendation (2)
  • Foreign language proficiency certificate (if required)
  • CV (Europass)
  • Other certificates (letters)

All documents will be reviewed by the University Coordination Council

Students must familiarize themselves with all program requirements before submitting an application.

After a student is approved to participate in the program, coordinators review the individual study plan. As a rule, some courses at the host university do not fully cover the home university's credits, or differ significantly in content. In such cases, the student may take the missing courses during the summer semester after returning, or study them online.

Study at the host university is free of charge; however, students pay the difference for courses not covered by the partner university's program that are subject to mandatory completion at the home university.

1 ECTS = 13,167 tenge.

You can verify the number of ECTS in the Platonus system or with your supervisor.
