What students say after an exchange
The exchange programme between Esil University and METU was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. METU welcomed me with open arms and helped me find my feet straight away. Budapest itself was beautiful — parts of it reminded me of our own cities, others were classic European. Studying at METU was the highlight of the trip: engaging courses, very friendly lecturers and a rich student life thanks to the student clubs. Those six months in Hungary left me wanting to come back and complete a full degree there.
My trip to Budapest on the academic mobility programme became one of the brightest and most inspiring events of my life! Studying at the local university deepened my knowledge and introduced me to wonderful people from all over the world. Budapest showed me Europe at its most beautiful — its architecture, cosy streets, thermal baths and the Danube embankment. The academic programme was interesting and useful, and the lecturers were attentive and supportive. I recommend every student try a mobility programme — it is an invaluable experience!
I am very grateful to Esil University for the chance to live, study and gain new experience in another country! I chose South Korea. Woosong University is one of the most international universities in Korea: students from more than 91 countries study there. After a semester in Korea I feel I have genuinely changed for the better: my English improved a great deal, I made friends from all over the world, I became more open and independent, and my outlook widened noticeably.
I am currently studying at Anadolu University in Eskisehir, one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey, on an academic mobility programme. The teaching system and approach here are distinctive: the professors are highly knowledgeable and make their classes engaging. All in all, academic mobility is a wonderful chance to study in another country and discover a new culture and outlook. For me this programme was a unique period of growth and of finding new answers!
