The Research Seminar ‘The Current State of Accounting and Auditing in the Context of Digitalization’ Was Held at the University

As part of the Department of Accounting and Audit Week, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Aitkhozhin L.Zh. and Candidate of Economic Sciences Kazhmukhametova A.A. conducted a scientific seminar titled "The Current State of Accounting and Audit in the Context of Digitalisation."

The seminar was attended by the academic staff of the department, third-year students, and master's students of the Accounting and Audit educational programme.

Topical issues, trends, and prospects for the development of accounting and auditing in the context of digital economic transformation were discussed, along with the introduction of artificial intelligence and the automation of big data in accounting and analytical activities.

Attention was devoted to changes in tax legislation, practical aspects of accounts payable and receivable accounting, revenue optimisation accounting, procedures for maintaining cash discipline in small businesses, the importance of electronic document management at enterprises, unlawful actions in the accounting system, as well as errors and fraud.

The seminar concluded by underscoring the importance of accounting and auditing in the context of integrating digital technologies into all aspects of business operations, fundamentally transforming the way companies present data to their clients and stakeholders.
