As part of the "Accounting and Audit" Department Week, an educational and methodological seminar was held on the topic "Methodology for Teaching the Discipline: Organisation of Accounting in Banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan." The seminar was conducted by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Shayakhmetova K.O. and Lecturer Arkat A.A.
The event was attended by faculty members — A.E. Aikhozhina, I.N. Mikhailina, M.K. Uspambayeva, L.Zh. Aitkhozhinа, M.A. Altynbekov — as well as students of the educational programmes.
Participants paid special attention to the historical significance of the discipline: exactly 25 years ago, at the Narxoz University (Almaty), the foundations of the course "Accounting and Reporting in Banks" were laid and the eponymous textbook was published, authored by G.S. Seitkasimov, K.O. Shayakhmetova, and G.T. Abraimova.
In the course of the discussion, participants put forward a proposal to republish the textbook in Russian and Kazakh. The initiative was supported by the department's faculty, and a representative of the banking sector — Moldakhmetova Madina (FORTE Bank) — noted the practical significance of updating the educational manual for the training of financial sector specialists.
