Separate Plastic Collection at the University as Part of the ReStart Program

The Economics and Marketing department conducted an advisory hour for groups Ek-25/1 K and ME-25/1 K on the topic "The Importance of Sorting and Recycling Plastic in Astana." During the event, students were informed about the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment, the significance of cultivating a culture of separate waste collection, and the enhancement of ecological responsibility.

Waste sorting contributes to the formation of environmentally responsible behaviour among the population. Environmental campaigns are regularly conducted in schools, higher educational institutions, and various organisations, and our university also contributes to this important endeavour. Such events promote the development of a culture of careful stewardship of nature within society.

During the advisory hour, students actively expressed their opinions and exchanged views on the importance of separate waste collection. Some students noted that they already practice waste sorting at home.

Students were also informed that, as part of the ReStart programme, special sorting bins have been installed at the university for the collection of plastic, enabling every student to make a personal contribution to the preservation of the environment and the sustainable development of our country.
