The Department of Information Systems and Technologies held a tutorial session on the topic "Drugs in the Student Environment: Myths and Reality" as part of its educational outreach activities.
The event was organized by academic advisors: Akmoldina A.I., Kenebayeva D.B., Abdibekova L.M., Amanbaikyzы Z., Zhumagulova A.A. Students from years 2–3 of the IS, ITZD, VT, and PO specializations participated in the advisory hour.
The mentoring hour was opened by the Head of Department A.U. Mukhiyadin, who emphasised the relevance of the topic under consideration, the importance of fostering in students a responsible attitude towards their health, and the conscious choice of life values.
During the event, advisors familiarised students with common myths about narcotic substances and their actual consequences, and discussed the effects of drugs on health, academic performance, and the social adaptation of young people. Particular attention was devoted to the prevention of harmful habits and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
The event was held in the format of an open dialogue and contributed to raising student awareness, forming a negative attitude toward the use of narcotic substances, and reinforcing the values of a healthy and safe lifestyle.
