Esil University, in partnership with Alkon LLP, organised a humanitarian aid collection drive for the population affected by flooding in the southern region of Kostanay Oblast. Last week, a freight vehicle loaded with humanitarian aid was dispatched to the residents of Arkalyk, Amangeldy, and Zhangeldy districts of Kostanay Oblast.
A freight vehicle was loaded with 100 new sets of bedding. Of these, 40 sets were transferred to the mosque of the city of Arkalyk, 30 sets were delivered to Amangeldy district, and 30 to Zhangeldy district.
"We are pleased to see that reserves of humanitarian aid are being formed across Kazakhstan and that people are actively taking part in this noble endeavour. Our group, together with the university's staff, students, parents, and entrepreneurial partners, has established a charitable fund. This fund operates through a WhatsApp group."
"The distinctive feature of our work is that we obtain from residents and local administration a list of essential items needed. Today we provided the residents of Arkalyk, Amangeldy, and Torgay with 100 new bedding sets. Each set includes a comfortable mattress, pillows, blankets, towels, and other necessary items. We rented a cargo vehicle to deliver this aid to Torgay, and all materials were successfully delivered to the recipients. Esil University expresses its gratitude to our partner, the director of Alkon LLP, Ayupov Aman Bilyalovich, for his active participation and financial support. Other entrepreneur-partners, having been convinced of the transparency and effectiveness of our work, also expressed their intention to contribute through our foundation," noted the university rector Ayapbergen Taubayev.
The process of collecting humanitarian aid continues at the university. The dispatch of a second lorry is planned for the following week.
