Esil University is the leading university of Astana with more than twenty years of development history. The university's mission is the training of competitive, highly qualified specialists for the smart economy and entrepreneurial activity. Graduates are employed in government agencies, IT centers and capital city banks, joint-stock companies, and international corporations.
Teaching Staff
The academic staff comprises 60.2% of personnel holding academic degrees. The university trains students in 21 undergraduate specializations in full-time and distance learning formats, 10 master's specializations, and four doctoral specializations.
Double Degree Programme
The university operates a dual-degree education programme in partnership with Gangnam University in South Korea, the European University in Switzerland, and Final University in Northern Cyprus.
Over four years, Esil University students may obtain two diplomas, one of which will be from a foreign university.
University History
In 1999, the capital branch of Narkhоz — KazEU — was established. It subsequently became known as the Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade.
In 2022, the university underwent rebranding in line with a new vision for development. KazUEFMT became Esil University. Along with its new name, it sets new goals on the path towards leadership among Kazakhstan's largest higher educational institutions.

Student Organizations
The university hosts the following student clubs: Esil Media Club, Esil International Office, Esil Sports Club, Esil Art Studio, and Esil IQ Lab. Additionally, Tiktok Studio Esil operates at the university, featuring its own recording and sound studio as well as pavilions with six distinct thematic settings.

Research Laboratories
The department houses two research laboratories: "Computing and Automation of Production Processes" and "Problems of Information Systems Management," as well as three specialized educational laboratories: "Development of Corporate Applications," "Network Communications," and "Development of Computer Systems Interfaces," all equipped with modern computers and software tools.
