A Meeting on ‘Religion and Traditions’ Was Held with Students

Esil University hosted a meeting on the topic "Religion and Traditions" with scholar and religious studies expert, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Religious Studies at Eurasian National University, Kenshilik Tyshkan.

Students, faculty members, and staff of our university participated in an event aimed at enhancing the religious literacy of students. The meeting was organised for the purpose of preventing religious extremism and terrorism among young people, cultivating immunity against the ideology of destructive religious movements, and promoting traditional values.

Participants of the meeting were provided with comprehensive information on religion; it was explained that Islam contains no concepts of terrorism or extremism, and the necessity of avoiding the influence of radical movements and protecting young people from their ideology was emphasised. At the conclusion of the meeting, the young participants shared their reflections and posed questions on the topics discussed.
