A seminar on the topic "Financial Security in the Digital Space" was held at Esil University.
The main objective of the event was to raise students' awareness of modern cyber threats and forms of fraud in the digital environment, as well as to develop practical skills for the safe use of online banking, digital wallets, and other financial services.
The following participated in the seminar: • Izmailova Ainura, representative of JSC "National Payment Corporation of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan"; • Қонысбек Айдар Болысбекұлы, сотрудник Управления по противодействию киберпреступности Департамента полиции города Астаны; • Representatives of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market — Akmaev Dmitriy Igorevich and Shabanova Nurgul Nurdinovna.
The presentations addressed current issues related to manifestations of social engineering, phishing, skimming, and other fraudulent practices in the digital space. Particular attention was given to legislative measures to combat cybercrime and the liability established by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A dedicated seminar session was devoted to issues of financial literacy and the development of sustainable competencies among students in the safe use of modern financial instruments.
Each presentation concluded with a discussion session, during which participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarifications from the experts.
