An Educational Event on Future Technologies Was Held at Esil University

At Esil University, an educational event entitled "From World Inventions to Artificial Intelligence: Technologies of the Future" was held for first-year bachelor's students of the Tourism educational programme. During the event, students presented presentations dedicated to key global inventions and innovations that have had a significant impact on the development of contemporary society, examining their origins, practical significance, and role in shaping modern technological processes. Special attention was devoted to the relationship between classical inventions and the development of artificial intelligence, including the influence of printing devices, aviation technologies, robotics systems, and communication tools — from the first telephones to modern smartphones — on the formation of the technological environment.

As part of the event, a mini-debate was organised in which the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence were discussed, as well as its impact on various spheres of public life, including education, professional activities, and everyday practice. Students expressed various viewpoints, demonstrated active engagement and interest, which contributed to the development of critical thinking and skills of reasoned communication in a foreign language, given that the event was conducted in English.

At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasized that the development of digital literacy and technological competence constitutes an important direction in the professional training of future specialists.
