During the event, with the support of the World Association of Kazakhs and the "Zakat and Charity" Foundation of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, an iftar dinner was organised for 120 kandas students who had arrived from abroad and were studying in the preparatory department, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In addition, the foundation director Maksatbek Maksotuly awarded one-time scholarships to 20 students belonging to socially vulnerable categories.
As the charity event coincided with the celebration of 8 March — International Women's Day — preparatory department students delighted guests with a festive performance.
At the event, representatives of the World Association of Kazakhs — Zhanibek Bakytuly Lesbekov, Almat Tursunbekuly Altai, and Galym Ulkenbaiuly — delivered speeches. On behalf of the university, letters of appreciation were presented to the distinguished guests.
Such support undoubtedly contributes to increasing the interest of qandas students in education and provides important moral support in their adaptation to their historical homeland.
