An International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled "Economic Policy and Sustainable Development of Kazakhstan: Science, Legislation, and Practice" was held at Esil University, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the distinguished economist and public figure, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Berik Beisengaliev.
The conference was attended by scholars, experts, and international partners, as well as the leadership and faculty of Esil University. Participants discussed current challenges in economic policy, pathways to sustainable development, and effective management of national resources.
A report was delivered at the plenary session by Professor of Budapest Metropolitan University László Vasa He noted that the development of transport infrastructure and economic corridors in Kazakhstan must serve not only transit purposes but also as a foundation for long-term, sustainable economic growth.
Continuing the topic of sustainable development, Ivan Potravny, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, presented a report on the topic "Processing of Mining Waste and Ensuring the Environmental Well-being of the Population: Prospects for Cooperation among Russia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Mongolia."
Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Bin Md Ninggal, Vice President of Open University (Malaysia) , highlighted the importance of international academic partnership and spoke about the Malaysian government's comprehensive approach to sustainable development, ESG principles, and social, economic, and educational responsibility.
Alpysbay Zhusupov, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor at Esil University, presented a report on the topic "Constitutional Development of the Financial System of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Legal Aspects."
Dmitry Ulybyshev, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Socio-Economic Research at Esil University , spoke to the conference participants about strategic planning and the efficient use of national resources in Kazakhstan.
The work of the conference continued within the framework of sectional sessions, where participants discussed the applied aspects of economic policy, contemporary challenges of sustainable development, and issues of improving the regulatory and legal framework.
