An Erasmus+ Information Day was held at Esil University, organised by the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan with the support of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.
The purpose of the event was to provide participants with detailed information on the innovations of the 2026 competition and the key aspects of its organization.
Special attention was paid to recommendations for the preparation of competitive applications, enabling an improvement in the quality of project proposals and their compliance with established requirements.
The Information Day was attended by vice-rectors, faculty members, administrative staff of Kazakhstani universities, and other interested specialists.
The programme commenced with the preparation of university stands for the Erasmus+ projects exhibition. Following registration, the official opening ceremony was held with the participation of the university leadership, the EU Delegation in Kazakhstan, and the HEPD of the MES RK.
The plenary session featured six speakers who presented the key areas of cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme. Dinara Ryspayeva shared her experience as a grant holder for the Higher Education Project, Gulmira Satybaldiyeva presented recommendations on structural reforms using the EduFusion initiative as an example, and Dana Utegen spoke about preparing competitive applications for the Jean Monnet Module. Shamshagul Mashtayeva presented Kazakhstan's participation in the Erasmus Mundus Design Measure project, Rauza Mendaliyeva outlined the priorities for structural reforms in higher education, and Amina Kusainova presented online on her studies in the EMJM Master's programme.
The event concluded with a summary of outcomes, completion of an event evaluation questionnaire, and a group photograph. The final part of the day was an Erasmus+ project exhibition, at which each university presented its initiatives and provided consultations to all interested parties.
