Esil University Discussed Joint Projects with Polish Partners

A meeting of representatives of Poland and Kazakhstan was held at the Polish-Kazakh Centre for Innovative Economy of Esil University.

The Polish delegation included Dr. Stanisław Lunewski, General Director of ASTWA and Honorary Professor of Esil University; Professor Marek Pronewski of the University of Białystok; businessman Ryszard Iwaszkiewicz; and Vice-Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Marek Malinowski. The Kazakhstani delegation was represented by First Vice-Rector of the University, Professor Serik Makys; Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management, Gulzhan Alina; Head of the Department of Economics and Marketing, Gulmira Zambinova; Director of the Centre for Socio-Economic Development, Dmitry Ulybyshe; and Head of the International Relations Office, Elmira Zadanova.

The meeting addressed issues of improving the energy efficiency of the Esil University campus and the possibility of implementing a photovoltaic installation project, which is expected to significantly reduce electricity consumption.

Also discussed at the meeting was the research programme of the centre for 2025–2027, within the framework of the proposed project "Sustainable Development of Kazakhstan and Poland: Trends and Prospects," the result of which is to be a two-part monograph prepared by a team of Polish and Kazakhstani scholars.

The outcome of the meeting was the parties' confirmed intention to continue cooperation on each of the issues discussed.
