The advisory hour was held with the participation of the Dean for Student Affairs, who introduced first-year students to information on the importance of academic integrity as the foundation of a student's professional and personal responsibility.
В своем выступлении Шынар Күнгелдіқызы подробно остановилась на примерах нарушения академической честности, таких как плагиат, обман и недобросовестное выполнение заданий, отметив, что такие действия подрывают доверие к результатам обучения и ставят под угрозу этические принципы университета.
During the mentoring hour, the class mentor informed students about regulatory materials governing measures to prevent academic dishonesty, and clarified that clothing (shorts, sportswear, etc.) and harmful habits (electronic cigarettes, snus, nasway, etc.) are prohibited within the university premises.
The academic advisor explained that academic integrity is a set of values and principles reflecting the honesty of students in completing written assignments (coursework, examinations, essays, theses), conducting research, expressing their viewpoints, interacting with instructors, academic staff, and fellow students, as well as in assessments.
It is noted that a normative document of Esil University exists — the regulations on academic integrity for students and staff of the institution. This document was developed in accordance with the university's development strategy and defines the principles of academic integrity in the educational process, the rights and obligations of students, the types of violations of academic integrity, and the procedures for taking measures in the event of such violations. The primary objective of the event was to foster among students a conscious attitude towards honesty and trust in the educational process.
