Second-year students of the Tourism educational programme attended a field class in the discipline of Excursion Studies at the International Exhibition Centre EXPO in Astana.
The event was organised with the aim of providing students with an in-depth introduction to modern working professions that are in demand across various industries, as well as to the principles of work process organisation that are essential for professional growth in the fields of tourism and social sciences.
During the session, students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the activities at the national festival "City of Working Professions," which serves as an important platform for demonstrating working skills and practices. This enabled students to better understand how the theoretical knowledge acquired during the educational process is applied in practice.
Special attention was paid to the analysis of in-demand professions, the organisation of the work process, and how specialists can develop their competencies to work successfully in various fields, including tourism, social services, and related areas. Students were also able to discuss with festival experts the current trends in the labour market and become acquainted with contemporary approaches to education and professional training.
This event served not only as an important stage in the academic process, but also as an opportunity for students to develop practical skills that will prove valuable in their future professional careers.
