Esil University Students Took Part in the Regional Environmental Summit 2026

The Regional Environmental Summit–2026 is taking place in Astana — a large-scale event bringing together representatives of Central Asian countries with the aim of developing coordinated solutions to current climatic and environmental issues of the region.

Particular attention at the summit is devoted to engaging youth in the environmental agenda. First-year students of the "Tourism" educational programme at Esil University participated in the exhibition and business programme. Together with their academic advisors — Gizzatzhanova A.G., Kurmangaliyeva Zh.K., Muslimbekova M.A., Amangaldi E.M. — as well as with faculty members, they became acquainted with contemporary environmental initiatives and innovative projects.

Student participation was organised with the assistance of the Department of Social Work and Tourism, which actively supports practice-oriented learning and the involvement of students in international and regional events.

Attending the summit provided students with an opportunity to expand their professional competencies, establish new contacts, and gain a deeper understanding of the contemporary environmental challenges facing the region.
