Esil University Students Took Part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Nomads: History, Knowledge, Lessons’ Held as Part of the 5th World Nomad Games

9 сентября 2024 года в рамках научной программы Всемирных Игр Кочевников студенты ОП «Социальная работа» и ОП «Туризм» факультета Прикладных наук во главе со старшим куратором кафедры «Социальная работа и туризм» Жантөре Жанатұлы посетили Международную научно-практическую конференцию «Кочевники: история, знания, уроки», проводимой в рамках V Всемирных Игр Кочевников. Мероприятие прошло в стенах Национального музея Республики Казахстан.

The World Nomad Games are international sports competitions in ethnic sports disciplines. The competitions are rooted in the folk games of the historically nomadic peoples of Central Asia. Notably, the World Nomad Games have been inscribed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.

During the conference, various aspects of the development of ethno-sports and nomadism as a global civilisation were examined. The International Scientific and Practical Conference was opened with a welcoming address by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek Nurbek-uly. Reports were delivered by foreign guests from the United States, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan. The presentations generated keen interest among students and drew attention to the further study of nomadic culture.
