A Guest Lecture on the Digitalization of Economic Analysis Was Held

Under the supervision of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor K.O. Shayakhmetova, a guest lecture was delivered for 2nd-year students of economics specializations at the Faculty of Business and Management by Dana Pulatova, Chief Specialist-Economist of the Department of Economic Analysis and Statistics at the Central Branch of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana).

During the lecture, contemporary approaches to economic analysis and statistics in the context of digitalization were examined, including the transition from retrospective to predictive analysis using Big Data, artificial intelligence, and automated reporting. Separate attention was devoted to legislative changes in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the development of GovTech, the strengthening of data protection, and the accounting of digital assets.

The advantages of digitalization were also discussed — increased responsiveness of managerial decisions, growth in productivity, and reduction of costs, alongside the emergence of new risks. Students actively participated in the discussion and asked questions.

The lecture was held in a productive and friendly atmosphere with the participation of the teaching staff of the Department of Accounting and Audit and students, who were commended for their active engagement.
