With the aim of fostering a culture of personal safety, developing safe behavioral skills, and enhancing the legal literacy of students, tutor Zholdassova Sh.Sh. organized a tutor hour for groups B-IS 24/23 K, B-ITiZD 24/23 K, and VTiPO 24/23 K.
Also participating in the event was lecturer of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies A.B. Nurzhanova, who took an active part in the discussion and emphasised the importance of legal literacy and digital security in the educational environment.
During the advisory hour, students were provided with an explanation of the concept of personal boundaries, and stalking was examined as a form of violation of personal space. Special attention was devoted to its manifestations, including online harassment, physical surveillance, intrusive calls, and messages. Additionally, the possible psychological consequences for individuals subjected to such actions were discussed.
As part of the event:
- the main signs of stalking were identified;
- methods of personal data protection were examined;
- recommendations on safe behaviour on social media were presented;
- practical life situations were analysed;
- a discussion was held with the participation of students.
Students received information on ways to respond to unwanted attention, options for seeking assistance, and the importance of addressing such issues in a timely manner.
The tutor hour contributed to raising students' awareness on matters of personal safety, strengthening a sense of responsibility towards the protection of their rights, and fostering a culture of respect for personal boundaries in interpersonal relationships.
