An International Academic and Methodological Conference for faculty and staff of higher educational institutions was held at ESIL UNIVERSITY, dedicated to the theme "Artificial Intelligence, Inclusion, and Academic Integrity: Balancing Innovation and Educational Values." Within the framework of the conference, issues concerning the competent use of artificial intelligence and the expansion of inclusive education in Kazakhstan were raised.
The transformations occurring across all spheres of society and Kazakhstani education are leading to a reconsideration of the essence of the teaching and upbringing process in educational institutions amid the active integration of AI, as well as to the search for new approaches to organising educational activities for students with disabilities.
A presentation on the challenges of developing inclusive education in Kazakhstan and disseminating practical experience of working with children with special educational needs was delivered by senior lecturer of the Department of Social Work and Tourism, Arystanova Z.S. To participate in the conference and discuss accumulated experience of working with adolescents with special needs, practical specialists from the Children's Village were invited: psychologist Valevach Olga Alexandrovna and practising psychologist and tutor of the Private Educational Institution "SOS Children's Village Astana" Yelistratov Denis Sergeyevich.
Specialists shared their experience of working with adolescents, as well as the results of involving children with disabilities in the educational process. Among the key objectives identified by the presenters were changing contemporary society's attitudes toward people with disabilities, ensuring the successful adaptation of adolescents with health limitations within the social environment, and their socialization and integration.
