An International Scientific and Practical Conference on "Economic Policy and Sustainable Development of Kazakhstan: Science, Legislation and Practice" was held, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the distinguished economist, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Berik Beisengaliyev.
The Rector of Esil University, Ayapbergen Taubayev, delivered a presentation emphasizing the significance of Professor Beisengaliev's scholarly work in shaping an entire academic school within Kazakhstan's economic science. As part of the presentation, a documentary film about Beisengaliev's life and professional career was screened.
Speaking at the conference, Albert Pavlovich Rau, Deputy Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that the work of Berik Tursynbekovich has found practical continuation in legislative and regional activities, including the development of rural and single-industry town infrastructure, support for regions, and the advancement of the country's strategic initiatives.
Minister of Finance Madi Takiyev noted that he was among the initiators of the "National Fund for Children" project. Despite initial challenges, the project has been successfully implemented. The Minister emphasised that the decisions taken proved to be correct and effective.
A highlight of the conference was the presentation of new academic and educational publications by Professor Berik Beisengaliyev.
Among them are the textbook "Fundamentals of Improving the Financial Literacy of the Population," the academic monograph "The National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the textbook "The Tax System of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the monograph "Consumer Lending and Risk Reduction Measures," and the collective monograph "National Resources of Kazakhstan."
The presentation ceremonies were accompanied by the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony with the participation of government officials and scholars.
At the conclusion of the official proceedings, honoured guests congratulated the Professor on his anniversary, acknowledging his contributions to the development of science, the higher education system, and the economic practice of the country.
