On 25 April, an off-site extended session of the Educational and Methodological Association RUMS on educational programmes of the Tourism group was held in the city of Turkestan. The theme of the meeting was the training of personnel of a new format in the tourism industry.
The event was held at the International University of Tourism and Hospitality. The organizer was the Kazakh Academy of Sport and Tourism. Participants included representatives of higher education institutions, the professional community, and the industry, among them the Head of the Department of Social Work and Tourism at Esil University, PhD, Associate Professor Zhassulan Sadykov.
During the discussion, key issues of modernizing specialist training were considered:
- transition to a three-year education system;
- introduction of dual education, micro-qualifications, and strengthening of practical training;
- development of partnerships between universities and employers in the field of tourism.
По итогам работы участники приняли резолюцию с итоговыми решениями. После пленарной части делегаты ознакомились с базами практик: туристическим комплексом «Керуен Сарай», гостиницей Hampton by Hilton Turkistan, культурным центром «Ұлы Дала Елі» и Мавзолеем Ходжи Ахмеда Ясави.
The meeting served as a significant platform for the exchange of experience and the strengthening of ties between education and the tourism industry.
