The university hosted a tutor session in the training format on the topic "The Rights of the Child — A Guarantee of a Safe and Happy Future." The initiator and facilitator of the session was the first-year group supervisor and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Work and Tourism, Zhakupova Gulmira. Students of group B-SR 25/1 K participated in the training.
The primary objective of the event was to enhance students' legal literacy, strengthen their psychological well-being, create a safe educational environment, and expand their knowledge of fundamental children's rights.
The training was structured in an interactive format and comprised five thematic blocks. Participants discussed issues of psychological literacy and the prevention of bullying, juvenile delinquency and early pregnancy, digital safety, the creation of a safe and inclusive environment, as well as the problems of child labour and human trafficking involving children. Special attention was devoted to social risks and algorithms of action in complex situations.
During the meeting, students actively engaged in discussion, shared their views, and analysed real-life situations. The training concluded with a reflection session in which each participant noted the most important information they had learned, the most useful advice they had received, and the personal decision they were prepared to make.
