One of the most significant events of the academic year took place at the State Philharmonic Hall of Astana — the ceremonial matriculation of Esil University freshmen in 2025. The event was held under the motto "On the Wave of Knowledge — Towards the Future!" and brought together students, faculty, and guests of the university.
The rector of Esil University, Ayapbergen Taubayev, addressed those gathered with a welcoming speech, congratulating students on the beginning of a new chapter in their lives:
"The student initiation ceremony is not merely a celebration — it is the starting point of your professional and personal journey. May your years at the university become a time of opportunities, vivid discoveries, and self-realization. You are the future of Esil University."
The Rector noted that following the rebranding of 2022, Esil University has reached a qualitatively new level of development. Today, the university demonstrates growth across key areas: the student body is expanding, positions in national rankings are strengthening, and educational and social projects are being actively implemented. Particular attention is devoted to academic potential: the proportion of faculty holding academic degrees increases annually, ensuring a high standard of instruction.
During the ceremony, university activists who made a significant contribution to the development of youth policy, student initiatives, and the university's image were recognized.
The festive programme included a faculty parade, in which the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Business and Management participated. Each faculty showcased its atmosphere, achievements, and the creative potential of its students.
A significant part of the ceremony was the handover of the position to the new President of the Esil University Student Self-Government, as well as the appointment of new university ambassadors who will represent the institution at the city and national levels.
The celebration concluded with students solemnly reciting the first-year student oath — a symbol of fidelity to the spirit of knowledge, honour, and kindness.
