An Open Lecture Was Held at the Department of Finance

The Department of Finance organised a guest lecture by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Elena Alexandrovna Borzenko — Head of the Sector of International Financial Research at the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The lecture on the topic "Economic Recovery of Ukraine and Financial-Economic Challenges" was conducted in an online format, as E.A. Borzenko was at Narxoz University in Almaty as part of an academic mobility programme.

The lecture topic encompassed current issues in the development of the Ukrainian economy in light of the forecast directions developed by Ukrainian scholars. Yelena Alexandrovna presented statistical data on macroeconomic indicators, elaborated in detail on the problems of monetary regulation of the economy, and outlined scenario-based projections for GDP, inflation, exchange rates, and related indicators.

The lecture covered directions for the restoration and development of key branches of industry and transport. Special attention was drawn to issues of monetary support and prospective ways of addressing them.

The lecture was conducted on the ZOOM platform. The audience — second- and third-year students of the specializations "Finance," "Economics," and "World Economics" (totalling 25 participants), as well as faculty members — listened to the presented information with great interest and posed questions of concern. The materials of the guest lecture are highly relevant and aimed at deepening knowledge in the courses "Finance" and "Economics of Foreign Countries."

Overall, the participants received relevant information on contemporary challenges in global economic development and the financial-economic aspects of their resolution.
