National Book Day Celebrated at Esil University

23 April is the National Day of the Book and Librarians. This is an important celebration that strengthens respect for the book — one of the greatest treasures of humanity — and deepens the bond between the reader and the written word.

On this day, the World Book and Copyright Day, established on the initiative of UNESCO, is also celebrated throughout the world. The aim of National Book Day is to foster a culture of reading in society, awaken young people's interest in books, and promote spiritual values.

In honour of this occasion, a festive event entitled "The Great Figure Who Glorified His People" was held at our university, dedicated to the creative legacy of the Teacher of the Nation, Akhmet Baitursynuly. The event was organised by the Scientific Library staff and Birzhan Zhakipbekov, a lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines.
