What is stalking?

Stalking is an obsessive, repetitive persecution of a person that causes fear, anxiety, and a sense of threat. It can occur both offline and online.
Forms of Stalking
1. Physical stalking — surveillance, "coincidental" encounters, appearances at the home/place of study/workplace.
2. Intrusive contacts — persistent calls, messages, and gifts without consent.
3. Cyberstalking — surveillance on social networks, hacking accounts, publishing personal data.
4. Threats and blackmail — direct or veiled threats, pressure exerted through acquaintances.
Thus, it is important to remember that stalking is not romance but a violation of personal boundaries. The victim is not at fault for what is happening. Seeking help is normal and the right thing to do.
