A Round Table of the Social Work Educational Program

A round table of the Department of Social Work and Tourism on the Educational Programme "Social Work" was held, at which representatives of universities and public organizations presented their reports and shared their experience.

The welcoming address at our event was delivered by Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Mukhamedzhanov A.A. and Head of the Department of Social Work and Tourism Sadykov Zh.A. In their remarks, they underscored the significance of our field and the relevance of issues related to the status of social workers in the contemporary period.

One of the event's guests, the head of the Public Foundation "PRAVO," Ryl O.V., underscored the importance of working with youth and presented relevant statistical data. In addition, Arystanova Z.S. delivered a report on the socio-psychological factors influencing the formation of socially dangerous behaviour among adolescents.

A paper was also presented by Aubakirova A.A., PhD in Social Work and expert of the Republican Public Association "National Alliance of Professional Social Workers." She reported on the progress of drafting the Law on Social Work, presented the findings of a study conducted among 350 social workers, and elaborated in detail on the structure of the law on social work.

Еще одним важным блоком нашего мероприятия стало выступление представителей НАО «Кызылординский университет имени Коркыт Ата» (г. Кызылорда) — к.э.н., доцента Шайнурова А.С. и Тоқмырзаевой А.Ғ. В своих докладах они осветили темы «Социальная работа с молодежью» и «Факторы семейного кризиса: причины и последствия разводов на основе эмпирических исследований», представив ценные выводы и результаты научного анализа.

An informative and engaging presentation was also delivered by L.B. Kereyeva, who spoke about the activities of the Child and Family Support Centre at the Private Educational Organization "SOS Children's Village Astana," highlighting the importance of comprehensive assistance to children in difficult life circumstances.

Additionally, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Burganova R.I. presented a paper entitled "Prospects for the Development of Social Work in Central Asia." She elaborated in detail on current changes, existing challenges, future directions of development, and recommendations for regional cooperation.

Following the round table, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between our department and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, and joint plans and prospective directions for further partnership were outlined.
