Esil University hosted guest lectures organised as part of Statistics Week, aimed at expanding cooperation with employers and strengthening academic engagement with representatives of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan (BNS ASPR RK).
A lecture on the topic "Key Labour Market Indicators" was delivered by Gulnar Bekisheva, Head of the Employment Statistics Department of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In her presentation, the lecturer highlighted the principal indicators characterising the state of the labour market, emphasised their significance within the national statistics system, and elaborated in detail on the methods of collecting, analysing, and interpreting statistical data.
The second lecture, entitled "Results of the 'Quality of Life of the Population' Study: An Overview of Quality-of-Life Indicators and Their Dynamics in Kazakhstan," was delivered by Samal Kereybaeva, Chief Expert of the Department of Living Standards Statistics of the same department. The presentation included an analytical review of research findings in the field of population quality of life, a description of key trends and regional differences, and recommendations for applying statistical data for applied and research purposes.
The event was attended by faculty and students of Esil University, representatives of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, as well as students enrolled in the educational programmes of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing, and other related disciplines.
The guest lectures contributed to a deeper understanding among students of the structure and objectives of state statistics, an enhanced statistical culture, a broadened appreciation of the practical applications of statistics in the field of social policy, and a strengthening of ties between the academic community and professional institutions.
