Annual AutismTalks Meeting for Parents of Children with Autism

The annual meeting of parents of children with autism was held in Astana AutismTalks, приуроченная к Всемирному дню распространения информации о проблеме аутизма. В мероприятии приняли участие преподаватели кафедры «Социальная работа и туризм» — Ромханқызы Жансұлу и Әдебиетова Айман Есенкуловна.

Организатором выступил общественный фонд Bolashak Charity. Встреча прошла уже в четвертый раз в рамках программы «Кедергісіз келешек».

Autism Talks represents an open dialogue platform where parents share personal experiences — from accepting a diagnosis to finding effective solutions and organising the family's daily life. The event format is based on live testimonials, practical case studies, and open discussion of current issues.

In 2026, approximately 100 applications were submitted for participation as speakers, including international ones. Following the selection process, 10 speakers from various cities of Kazakhstan — Astana, Karaganda, Taldykorgan, and Uralsk — were included in the programme.

As part of Autism Awareness Month in April, the Bolashak Charity Foundation has also planned a number of events, including:

• annual charity run Run for Autism
• sports and entertainment relay race for children with special needs "Jolly Starts"
• the "Light It Up Blue" campaign, within the framework of which iconic landmarks of the capital are illuminated in blue as a sign of support for people with autism
• information campaigns on social networks and other initiatives

These events are aimed at raising public awareness, supporting families, and developing an inclusive environment.
