Esil University Presented Kazakhstan’s Experience at IC-SGEE 2025

A delegation from Esil University participated in the opening of the international scientific conference The 1st International Conference on Sustainable Governance, Energy and Environment (IC-SGEE 2025), organised by Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA).

The event brought together a broad circle of scholars, researchers, and representatives of state and educational organisations from Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, Indonesia, and other countries, underscoring the global character of the forum and its significance for the international academic community.

The conference thematic scope covered a wide range of current issues related to sustainable development and the transformation of socio-economic systems. Special attention was paid to modern approaches to sustainable public governance, digitalisation, and the introduction of innovative solutions in the work of the public sector.

A significant focus of the discussions was the energy transition and the development of renewable energy sources, as well as issues of environmental policy, natural resource management, and the assessment of climate risks. A substantial portion of the academic discussion comprised studies devoted to the integration of "smart" technologies and artificial intelligence systems into management processes.

A prominent place on the agenda was occupied by the topic of change management in the context of digital transformation, encompassing approaches to adapting state institutions to new technological realities, the modernisation of governance processes, the development of digital competencies, and the enhancement of the organisational agility of public and civic structures.

During the plenary session of the conference, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Esil University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Turekulova D.M. delivered a presentation on the topic "Hydrogen Energy Development: Global Trends and Kazakhstan's Experience." Her address generated keen interest among the international professional community, as it touched upon issues at the intersection of public administration, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
