In honour of the 25th anniversary of Esil University, a ceremonial event was held with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek; the Chairman of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askhat Aimbetov; Deputy of the Mazhilis, Berik Beisengliev; First Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Galym Bainazarov; and Deputy Akim of Astana, Yerik Meyrhanov.
Minister Sayasat Nurbek, in his address, congratulated the university staff and noted: "Education and the sharing of knowledge is the greatest good for humanity. I wish to congratulate the faculty and teaching staff on Teacher's Day and note that the Government is currently implementing a number of the President's initiatives. Among these, great importance is accorded to higher education. It should be noted that funding for science is growing year on year. As you have witnessed, Esil University demonstrates excellence across infrastructure, digital development, internal educational quality, international accreditation and partnerships, and we are ready to support the university in all its endeavors."
At the event, a number of lecturers and professors were awarded the "Akhmet Baitursynuly" distinction, as well as the "Merit in the Development of Science" and "Veteran of Labour" medals from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Esil University Rector Ayapbergen Taubayev noted 25 significant achievements of the university throughout the years of its existence. The evening also featured performances by a folklore ensemble, a dance theatre, laureates of international competitions, and university artists.
