As part of the departmental week at the Department of Economics and Marketing, a business simulation game entitled "WTO Negotiations: Protecting National Interests and the Rules of Global Trade" was held for fourth-year students of the World Economy educational programme. The event was organised by Mukanova M.A., Master's degree holder and Senior Lecturer. Students modelled the negotiation process of the World Trade Organisation, representing different countries and advocating for their economic interests.
During the game, participants analysed tariff and non-tariff measures, addressed market access issues, discussed methods of resolving trade disputes, and developed mutually beneficial solutions. The event enabled students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and to develop skills in diplomacy, argumentation, and teamwork. The business simulation game became an integral part of the Department Week and underscored the significance of practice-oriented teaching methods in the training of specialists in world economics.
