Associate Professor, Candidate of Economic Sciences, and Acting Associate Professor A.A. Kazhmukametova conducted an intellectual competition in the discipline of Accounting with students of group B-St 24/1 K.
This event represents one of the forms of interactive learning and is aimed at consolidating students' theoretical knowledge of the course under study. The intellectual competition is a dynamic game in which speed of thinking, promptness of decision-making, and the ability to quickly select the correct answer play a key role. The game format is characterised by a high degree of unpredictability, which heightens participants' interest and engagement.
The competition commenced with the greeting of the "Debet" and "Kredit" teams. Participants demonstrated a creative approach in presenting their teams, showcasing original slogans and team spirit.
In the second round, students were invited to name ten reasons for choosing the accounting profession. Participants highlighted the significance and versatility of the profession, its demand in the labour market, the continuity of family traditions, and the importance of accounting for the functioning of any organisation regardless of its area of activity.
The third round, "A Cat in a Bag," involved answering concealed questions of varying difficulty levels displayed on the board. Participants chose assignments based on their level of difficulty and point value.
In the fourth round, the teams were divided into subgroups to complete practical tasks, which contributed to the development of teamwork and role distribution skills.
The fifth round was dedicated to the translation of accounting terminology and required students to demonstrate knowledge of foreign languages and professional vocabulary.
During the competition, both teams demonstrated a high level of preparation, a drive for victory, organisational ability, creative and logical thinking, as well as the capacity to work effectively as a team.
