A Guest Lecture Was Held at Esil University

Foreign scholars delivered an online lecture on the topic "Digital Sociology: Research Methods and Tools." The invited lecturers were: Farida Ishkineeva, Head of the Laboratory of Sociological Research at the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications (ISFPMC) of Kazan Federal University, Candidate of Sociological Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of General and Ethnic Sociology at the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications of Kazan Federal University; and Anna Lipatova, Candidate of Political Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of General and Ethnic Sociology at the ISFPMC of Kazan Federal University. The meeting moderator was Marina Zhusupova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and Master of Economic Sciences.

Before the lecture began, students watched a video about Kazan Federal University and were introduced to the invited lecturers.

Ishkineeva Farida Falesovna acquainted those present with the content, object, and subject of the discipline "Digital Sociology." Anna Lipatova shared with students the results of sociological research directed at studying social processes through the application of digital methods: network analysis, content analysis of social media, digital ethnography, and big data analysis (Big Data).
