The Department of Economics and Marketing conducted a guest lecture on the topic "Development of Mono-Cities" with the participation of Nurbolat Kurmetuly, Director of the Centre for Regional Research and Quality of Life at JSC "Institute for Economic Research." The expert shared analytical materials, research findings, and examples of the transformation of mono-cities in Kazakhstan.
The lecture examined the mechanisms of economic diversification, the role of human capital, business initiatives, and infrastructure projects, as well as government support programmes and successful case studies from Kazakhstan and other countries.
