On 9 April, a scientific seminar was held on the topic "Statistics and Big Data: Processing Methods." The presenter was Uspambayeva Madina Karabayevna, PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Accounting and Audit.
The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of Accounting and Audit, as well as students from academic groups B-EzhA-23/1K, B-EzhA-24/23K, B-St-23/1K, B-St-24/1R, and B-St-24/1K.
Within the framework of the seminar, the speaker shared her personal academic experience and research findings in the field of statistical methods of analysis and big data processing. Modern approaches to analytics were presented, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive methods, and data processing architectures were examined: centralized, decentralized, distributed, and integrated.
The seminar generated keen interest among participants, as the topic of big data is highly relevant to modern applied analysis, the digital economy, and the development of professional competencies of future specialists.
The holding of this academic seminar became an important platform for the exchange of knowledge and the stimulation of students' research activity, and also contributed to broadening students' understanding of the practical application of statistics in the context of digital transformation.
