A Digital Alley and Artificial Intelligence Labs Opened at Esil University

In the Year of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, declared by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Esil University opened a Digital Alley and a complex of laboratories for artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The event brought together the university's leadership, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, partners, faculty members, and students.

Guests were presented with four laboratories. These included the "Robotics and 3D Technologies" research laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art 3D printers and Arduino kits; the "HIKVISION Lab" educational laboratory, where intelligent video surveillance systems and video data analysis are studied; the "Arduino and Digital Circuit Engineering, NI Instruments Laboratory," focused on the study of digital circuit engineering, microcontrollers, and measurement systems; and the Digital Inclusion Centre, which provides access to educational resources for students with special educational needs.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and Rector Ayapbergen Taubayev. According to him, the creation of the digital alley opens fundamentally new opportunities for students: "Today we are shaping a modern educational environment where students will not only acquire knowledge, but will also be able to implement their own projects, work with cutting-edge technologies, and develop skills that are in demand in the digital economy," — the rector noted. Participants were given a practical demonstration of digital solutions related to 3D modelling and Arduino-based programming. As part of the event, the results of the EsU IT Project Fest 2026 competition were also announced, in which students presented projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The winners received diplomas and nominations for the best developments, prototypes, and presentations. The ceremonial part was accompanied by a festive programme: a concert was organised in honour of the opening for the guests. The atmosphere of Nauryz was complemented by traditional refreshments — nauryz kozhe and baursaks were distributed to all participants.
