A tutorial hour was conducted with first-year students on the topic "Academic Integrity as the Foundation of Professional Development" within the educational programme "Law." The Yur 25/1k study groups discussed the importance of academic integrity and professional responsibility among law students, familiarized students with current university news, and provided up-to-date information on academic matters. Tokbay Samat Serikuly, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Law, conducted a supervisory hour for his tutorial groups with the participation of Aigul Aitmaganbetovna, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, and Askar Kadyrovich, Head of the Department of Law, on the topics of academic integrity, the student code of honour, and the rules of conduct for students in their interactions with faculty and fellow students of the university.
During the meeting, the curator drew attention to the importance of academic integrity as a fundamental principle of educational and scholarly activity. This principle presupposes honest, fair, and responsible conduct on the part of all participants in the educational process — from students to lecturers and researchers. It reflects respect for intellectual labour, the aspiration towards honest acquisition of knowledge, and an awareness of personal responsibility for the outcomes of one's studies. The main forms of academic integrity violations were examined: Disinformation is the provision of false information about one's achievements or research results. The academic advisor also addressed issues concerning the conduct of students at the university, their appearance, ethical norms, and the use of inappropriate language in communication between students and faculty members. At the conclusion of the meeting, students were reminded that adherence to the principles of academic integrity is not merely an internal rule of Esil University, but also an important element in the formation of the professional authority, trust, and ethical maturity of future specialists. The principles of academic integrity are not merely the university's official requirements but also the foundation of trust, respect, and professional ethics.
