As part of the Management department week, Tastemyr Akulan Userovich, Head of Department of the Committee for Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered a lecture for students of the State and Local Governance and Management educational programmes on the topic "Certain Features of the Public Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Present Stage."
The practice of state-building in the Republic of Kazakhstan presents a number of new challenges in the formation of a new civil service system.
Legislation on the civil service has been almost entirely renewed, and a new system of personnel selection and placement in the civil service is being formed. The state must be represented by worthy civil servants: competent, conscientious, respected, and lawful officials capable of meeting the needs of the people. Any democratic changes are doomed to failure unless a competent and professional apparatus of state power is established.
In this regard, an important task is the proper selection and placement of personnel within the state apparatus. The guest lecture was conducted at a high professional level. Through the lecturer, students were able to obtain information about the civil service of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
