Lecturers of the Department of Law, Candidate of Law, Acting Associate Professor Kemelbekov S.T. and Senior Lecturer Kh. Maney, conducted a tutorial hour for 2nd-year students enrolled in the "Law" programs on the theme "Continuity of Generations — Nauryz as a Symbol of Unity."
The purpose of the curator's hour is to reveal the essence and significance of the Nauryznama theme in the celebration of Nauryz.
In accordance with the topic, it was explained that the Shanyrak is not merely an element of a yurt, but also a symbol of generational continuity, unity, and prosperity; in Kazakh culture it represents "family," and at the state level — "national unity," which is why the Shanyrak is depicted on the coat of arms of Kazakhstan.
The Shanyrak is a symbol of statehood, stability, and continuity. In Kazakh tradition, it embodied family values, defence, mutual assistance, and national unity. Today it represents the civil society of Kazakhstan, where the destinies of all ethnic groups, different generations, and all regions of the country are intertwined. This day affirms that Kazakhstani citizenship transcends the concept of ethnic belonging. We are all one people, one society, one country, though we may differ outwardly. This day is dedicated to the understanding that being a citizen of Kazakhstan is a conscious choice — that is, to place the interests of the country above all else, to contribute to the development of the state, and to uphold the values inherent to it.
On Shanyrak Day, comprehensive theoretical, practical, and educational information was presented on strengthening the family traditions of Kazakhstanis and raising the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, moral integrity, intellectual curiosity, and industriousness.
