A Round Table on Leadership: Esil University’s Perspective in Samarkand

From April 7, as part of initiatives for the exchange of experience and the development of international academic mobility, the faculty of the Department of Management at Esil University successfully conducted a round table at the Institute of the International School of Finance Technology and Science. .

A round table on the topic "Foundations of Leadership: The Experience of Kazakhstan" was held at a high professional level and generated considerable interest among the student audience. The primary issues addressed centred on the formation of a creatively active individual capable of rationally utilising personal strengths and the opportunities offered by an environment that dictates certain principles of activity. Participants from the Department of Management examined the characteristics of leadership in contemporary business, the history and essence of theories related to the leadership phenomenon, leadership styles and the system of style-forming factors, the image of a leader, and the directions of its formation.

A separate topic of discussion was the development of corporate human resources policy in companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the analysis of effective practices, and the opportunities for disseminating best practices in managing the behaviour and interaction of people through the application of leadership qualities, styles, and methods of influence at the enterprise, regional, and national levels.

Students expressed their gratitude to the faculty of the Department of Management for the informative presentations and actively participated in the interactive discussion. The presentations demonstrated the high scholarly potential of the academic staff of the Department of Management at Esil University, enabling them to professionally address issues related to the development of corporate strategies in the field of human resources policy. It is anticipated that the fruitful collaboration will not only continue but will also be enriched with new forms of cooperation.
