Department of Accounting and Auditing is one of the leading departments of the university, which provides training in the following educational programs:

The main goal of the department is to train highly qualified accountants-auditors and specialists in the field of statistics, possessing entrepreneurial and analytical competencies that are in demand in the labor market, based on the integration of education, scientific research, and entrepreneurship, taking into account international professional standards and the requirements of the global market.

The department offers the opportunity to obtain a European Diploma Supplement and a dual degree at Kangnam University (South Korea).

High graduate employment rate (82% — bachelor's, 100% master's).

The Department of Accounting and Audit takes an active part in implementing international student exchange programs with the following universities:

The head of the department is Bekzhanova Toty Kalzhanovna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Acting Professor of Esil University.

The Department of Accounting and Auditing employs highly qualified teachers with extensive experience both at enterprises and in the higher education system — 1 Doctor of Sciences, 3 PhD doctors, 6 candidates of sciences, and 4 master's degree holders. There is an active branch of the department at the Center for Audit and Valuation LLP.

In various years, teachers of the department were awarded honorary titles such as:

Bekzhanova Toty Kalzhanovna received the "Best Teacher - 2016" award, holder of a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan; in 2024 - the badge "Ғылымды дамытуға сіңірген еңбегі үшін", and in 2025 was awarded a certificate of honor from the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Aliyev Murat Kaparovich received the "Best University Teacher of 2015"; in 2024, the Medal of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For Contribution to and Development of Auditing Activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan." In 2024, for a special contribution to the development of education and science, he was awarded the "Honorary Professor" badge, and also this year he was awarded the A. Baitursynov Gold Medal for an outstanding contribution to the development of the education and science system and selfless work in training highly qualified specialists.

Altynbekov Myatbekov Altynbekovich received the "Best University Teacher" award from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023; in 2021 was awarded the "Best Teacher — 2021" badge of the Commonwealth of Independent States and received a First-Degree Diploma.

            The department's leadership pays great attention to personnel policy, to forming and developing a talent reserve with the aim of rejuvenating the faculty, and to creating conditions for retaining young, talented scholars and educators at the department. The department's young specialists participate in implementing the department's own initiative research topic. "Improving Accounting, Auditing and Analysis in the Conditions of Innovative-Integrational Development of the Economy", aimed at digitalization of accounting and analytical processes, implementation of international standards, development auditing, statistical analysis and ESG reporting. whose academic supervisor is Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Aliyev M.K.

The research and teaching staff of the Department of Accounting and Audit are highly qualified specialists who hold academic degrees and academic titles, have experience in scientific-pedagogical, administrative, and production activities, have work experience in the field of accounting, analysis, and audit, and a significant number of scholarly works, and serve as experts on study guides, textbooks, monographs, and state certification tests for graduates.
