On 6 December 2024, an International Scientific and Practical Conference on the theme "Economic Science and Management: New Challenges and the Development of Kazakhstan in the Context of Global Changes" was held at Esil University. The event was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the distinguished scholar, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Turekulov D.M., whose contribution to the development of science and education in Kazakhstan is immeasurable.
At the opening of the conference, a congratulatory letter on behalf of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was read aloud of Sayasat Nurbek , in which he emphasized the significance of the event's theme and expressed deep gratitude for Professor Turekulova D.M.'s contribution to the development of science, education, and the national economy.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Professor Turekulova D.M. was awarded the title of of Honorary Professor of Esil University , which is recognition of her outstanding scientific achievements and significant contribution to the development of the educational process at the university.

The conference brought together more than 150 participants, including leading experts, scholars, academics, and students from various regions of Kazakhstan, as well as international guests from Latvia, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Participants discussed current issues of economics, governance, and science, emphasising the importance of an interdisciplinary approach under contemporary conditions of global change and challenges.
In honour of the jubilee of Professor Turekulova D.M., an autobiographical publication was released, revealing her life journey, scholarly achievements, and contributions to the advancement of science and education. This unique publication has become a valuable source of inspiration for young researchers and students, demonstrating the formative path of an outstanding scholar. Additionally, a documentary film dedicated to her life and professional career was presented to conference participants. The film generated considerable interest among the audience, vividly reflecting the stages of her academic and pedagogical journey, as well as her significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's economy.
