Esil University served as a co-organiser of the international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the National Currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entitled "The Stability of the National Currency as a Factor of Ensuring the Financial Security of the State."
The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerulan Zhamaubayev, the Rector of Esil University, Doctor of Economics Ayapbergen Taubayev, the Member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Beisengaliev, the first Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galym Baynazarov, the Deputy Director General of ASTWA LLC (Poland) Artur LUNEWSKI, and the Chairman of the Board — Rector of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Yerlan Sydykov.
During the conference, the textbook "Organization of the Activities of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was presented, edited by the First Chairman of the National Bank, Galym Baynazarov, and Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Makish. Among the co-authors is also Gulzhan Alina, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management.
"The textbook examines the history of the formation and development of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the organization of its activities, its goals, functions, tasks, and operations, and reveals current issues of the payment system. The book consists of 14 chapters and addresses the most complex problems of the reform process in the economy and in the financial and banking sectors, as well as their results," emphasized Rector of Esil University Ayapbergen Taubayev.
In addition, Berik Beisengaliev, on behalf of the Speaker of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Koshanov, congratulated those present on the 30th anniversary of the tenge currency.
"This scientific collaboration will make it possible to produce many more publications on current areas of development of the national financial and credit system. Over 30 years, Kazakhstan has made an unprecedented leap in innovation, digitalisation, and the creation of fintech products that enhance the quality of life of Kazakhstani citizens. I wish our tenge to continue playing an important role in the sustainable development of the economy and to become a successful investment currency in the foreseeable future," stated the Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
