In honor of the 25th anniversary of Esil University, a gala concert was held with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saiassat Nurbek, the Chairman of the Committee for Social and Cultural Development of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimalmbetov, Mazhilis Deputy Berik Beisenggaliyev, the First Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galym Baynazarov, and the Deputy Akim of Astana Yerik Meyrhanov.
The event was opened by Esil University Rector Ayapbergen Taubayev, who highlighted 25 significant achievements of the university over the years of its existence. This was followed by a video presentation dedicated to the university's key accomplishments.
Minister Sayasat Nurbek, in his address, congratulated the university staff and noted:
"Education and the exchange of knowledge are the greatest benefits to humanity. I wish to congratulate the academic faculty on Teacher's Day and note that the government places great emphasis on the development of higher education and science, increasing funding each year. Moreover, funding for science grows year on year. As you have witnessed, Esil University demonstrates excellence across the areas of infrastructure, digital development, internal education quality, international accreditation, and partnership, and we are prepared to support the university in all its endeavours." / The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan also noted that October 1 is the Day of Higher Education Workers.
Askhat Aimagambetov also congratulated the university, noting that Esil University had successfully navigated through challenging times in the field of higher education and continues to demonstrate a high standard of specialist training.
At the event, a number of instructors and professors were awarded the "Akhmet Baitursynuly" badge, as well as the medals "For Merit in the Development of Science" and "Labour Veteran of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education."
The evening was graced by performances by the Saryarka folklore ensemble, the NAZ State Dance Theatre, international competition laureates Muratbek Khairoldy and Firuza Rakhmetova, as well as university artists.
It is worth noting that Esil University holds 4th place in the national ranking of leading humanitarian and economic universities of Kazakhstan and 13th place among all higher educational institutions in the country.
