Esil University hosted the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Seitkasimov Readings – 2024," dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the university. The event was attended by more than 100 participants, including prominent scholars, public figures, representatives of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan, and international guests from Indonesia, Malaysia, Hungary, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
The conference was opened by the Rector of Esil University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Ayapbergen Taubayev.
"We extend our gratitude to our guests for their participation and support. The 25th anniversary of our university is not only an occasion for celebration, but also an opportunity to discuss prospects for further development," noted Rector Ayapbergen Taubayev.
Welcome remarks were also delivered by some of the invited guests, including the First Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Honorary Professor of Esil University, Galym Bainazarov, as well as the Rector of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Saule Sagintayeva. In their addresses, they emphasised the importance of the conference for the development of science and education in the country, and congratulated the university on its anniversary.
Galym Baynazarov, First Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his report entitled "Problems of the Monetary System of the Republic of Kazakhstan under Current Conditions," addressed issues of financial stability in the context of global challenges. He emphasised that Kazakhstan must adapt its monetary policy to changing global conditions in order to ensure sustainable economic growth.
Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor of the Department of Law at Esil University, Alpysbay Zhusupov, presented a report on "Legal Innovation in the Competency-Based Approach to Contemporary Education," focusing on the necessity of modernizing the education system in the context of digital transformation.
A total of 202 papers were presented at the conference, of which 30 were works by scholars from various countries. The conference concluded with a summary of results and a discussion of prospects for further collaboration.
