This event was organised at the future construction site as part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the university, and was attended by distinguished guests: Madiyar Kozhakhmetov, Head of the Apparatus of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; Yerik Meyrhanov, Deputy Akim of Astana; members of the Majilis; members of the Board of Trustees; and the leadership and students of Esil University.

Rector of Esil University Ayapbergen Taubayev noted that the new dormitory will help attract international students.

"The project has been incorporated into the city's master plan. Everything is ready for construction. Our dormitory will be of a modern campus type, which will primarily allow us to attract international students accustomed to certain living standards. The dormitory will be accessible to both foreign and domestic students. Creating modern conditions for students is one of the university's priority objectives," said Ayapbergen Taubayev. The new building will accommodate more than 500 students and will be constructed through a public-private partnership mechanism with the support of JSC "Financial Center" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Project Office under the Akim of Astana.

"Today we are presenting the project for a new dormitory. According to the plan, the building will be five storeys high, with a total area of 6,600 square metres. The dormitory will accommodate a total of 500 bed-places. The basement floor will house a canteen for 210 persons. The remaining floors will have three- and four-person rooms compliant with area standards, as well as en-suite sanitary facilities. In addition, rooms for students with special needs have been provided. Furthermore, each floor will have a laundry room, an ironing room, a household kitchen, and a recreation room," said Taha Altayli.

The ceremony concluded with the laying of a time capsule containing a message for future students into the foundation of the building.
